Kenenesa to take part in 5000 meter distance at 16th ACC
Addis Ababa, May 4, 2008 - Ethiopian
Athlete Kenenesa Bekele is to take part in 5000 meter
race in the 16th African Athletics Championships (AAC)
scheduled for today.
In an exclusive interview with ENA on Saturday, Kenenesa
said he will exert maximum effort to win the
competition.
He said “I'm eager to run before Ethiopians tremendous
attendance, though I do not think I have made sufficient
training.”
He said "I want the public to know the honor I have for
AAC."
He expressed satisfaction over the victories achieved by
Ethiopian athletes so far in the championship.
Ethiopian Athletics Federation decided participation of
Kenenesa in 5000 meter later on Friday.
