May 28 to be colorfully celebrated in Harrari State

Harrar, May 17, 2007 (WIC) – May 28 would be colorfully celebrated as it is a day when the dictatorial regime was abolished and the foundation for good governance, development and democracy laid, the Harrari State Chief Administrator said.

Chief Administrator Murad Abdulhadi said May 28 is a historic day that ushered in the rights of nations and nationalities and ensured their accession to power.

Shining victories have subsequently been scored in economic, social and political sectors through, he added.

The coincidence of this victory day with the Ethiopian Millennium would initiate us to rise up for better development with new sprit, Murad further noted.

Besides, it would make the day special as it is the time the government has begun taking concrete measures against unemployment and poverty so as to repeat the victories gained in the economic sector for the fourth time, he noted.

The Chief Administrator finally called upon citizens to deepen the ongoing development, good governance and democratic outcomes achieved through May 28.
