Pathfinder International concludes five-year program here

Addis Ababa, May 9 (WIC) - Pathfinder International Ethiopia, a non-profit organization has officially closed its five-year reproductive health and family planning program (RH/FP) which ran from 2002 to 2007.

According to a statement it sent to WIC today, Pathfinder International Ethiopia said the program operations covered a total of 370 woredas in which about 43 percent the population resides.

The organization reached about 46 million people with educational information and messages on RH/FP over the past five years, where over 4 million new modern family planning users were served, it added.

Pathfinder International provides women, men and adolescents throughout the developing world with access to quality family planning and reproductive health information and services, according to the statement.

The organization secures over 80 and 15 percent of fund from the U.S and the government and people of Swedish respectively, the statement added.

Pathfinder International Ethiopia has been in operation here in the country since 1995,it was learnt.
