Enterprise, Walta ink advertising service agreement

Addis Ababa, November 14 (WIC) – Ethiopian Airport Enterprise (EAE) and Walta Information Center (WIC) on Friday signed an agreement that enables the latter to provide advertising services on the premises of Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.

Dynamic Digital Large Format Display (LFD) screens, static advertising materials such as light boxes and billboards will be installed on both terminals within the premises of EAE by WIC, which had won the tender floated by the enterprise.

Walta uses mainly DIGITAL SIGNAGE technology for the indoor ads and a combination of conventional billboards, LED (Light Emitting Diode) and digital billboards built with unique design.

Director General of Ethiopian Airports Enterprise, Shiferaw Alemu, said while signing the agreement that EAE awarded the contract to Walta as it had won the tender by defeating several national and international companies.

He said the agreement would increase the image and competitiveness of Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, Ethiopia’s main gateway to the world.

The accord would also help the airport to boost its income and attract many airlines, he added.

“We are very happy to win the tender and be chosen as partner for EAE’s advertising services,” Berhane Kidanemariam, General Manager of Walta Information Center said.

He noted that Walta possesses an immense wealth of skills and experience in the area of creative management and production.

“We will do our level best to provide quality and timely advertising services as we have expertise,” he added.

Walta is a communication and information company. It produces news, radio and television programs in various languages, including high-quality documentary films.
