Hailemariam expresses condolence over death of North Korean leader

Addis Ababa, December 23 (WIC) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn has expressed condolences over the death of North Korean leader, Kim Jong-il.

Signing a book of condolence in North Korean embassy here on Thursday, Hailemariam expressed his deep condolence over the death of North Korean leader on behalf of the people and government of Ethiopia.

The 69-year old leader died on Saturday on a train during a field guidance tour, according to the DPRK’s official KCNA news agency.
The funeral of Kim Jong-il will be held on December 28.
