Wishing love and unity to prevail in the New Year, Ethiopian Orthodox Church(EOC) calls for goodbye to prejudice, eviction and killing of each other along with the outgoing old Ethiopian Year.
EOC patriarch, Abune Matiyas extended a good wish message to all Ethiopians upon their transition from era of Luke to era of John.
“As the New Year heralded resuscitation, we have to renew our heart upon receiving the New Year”, the Patriarch urged.
The Patriarch also said that the intent of attacking the compound of churches should be left behind with the old year so that peace and stability will prevail in the country.
Ethiopian Catholic church, Ethiopian Evangelical Mekene Eyesus church have also extended their good wish messages to Ethiopians upon receiving their New Year.
