Addis Ababa, January 05, 2021 (Walta) – China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced that China would appoint a special envoy to the Horn of Africa, signaling his country’s intention to play a greater role in the conflict-torn region.
Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang met with his Kenyan counterpart.
During the discussion Wang, said China wanted to encourage dialogue to overcome peace and security challenges plaguing the Horn, according to CGTN.
