Addis Ababa, January 05, 2022 (Walta) – State Councilor and Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi has arrived in Eritrea, Asmara for a two-day official visit.
Upon arrival at the Asmara International Airport, Wang Yi was accorded a warm welcome by Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea and other senior Government officials.
During his stay in Asmara, Wang Yi will meet and hold talks with President Isaias Afwerki on strengthening bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest to the two countries.
The Foreign Minister will also visit Kenya and Comoros, as China seeks to strengthen its relationships in Eastern Africa.
