Addis Ababa March 10, 2021 (Walta) – Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy, Seleshi Bekele today held a discussion with Chairman of United Arab Emirates-based Al Nowais Investments LLC and AMEA Power, on wind plant to be built at Aysha, Somali Regional State.
The two sides exchanged views on the progress of the discussion which has already started between the Ministry and the Company so far, according to ENA.
Ethiopia is currently generating a total of 324 megawatts of electricity from Adama, Adama II, and Ashegoda wind farms.
Reports show that Ethiopia has the potential of generating 1,350,000 megawatts from wind energy.
