Addis Ababa, February 09, 2022 (Walta) – The Embassy in France briefed the French Senators, members of the Foreign Relations Committee yesterday about the current developments in Ethiopia.
The Ethiopian Government is committed to peace with the establishment of the National Dialogue Commission and the release of high political figures from prison, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to France, Spain, Portugal, Holy See, and Monaco, Henok Tefera told the senators.
TPLF’s renewed attacks in adjacent Afar and Amhara regions are thwarting peace efforts and delivery of humanitarian assistance, the Ambassador indicated.
Ethiopia appreciates France’s readiness to support Ethiopia’s rehabilitation efforts and the proposed national dialogue, he added.
