Addis Ababa, June 3, 2022 (Walta) – Ethiopian Embassy in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in collaboration with International Organization for Migration (IOM) has facilitated the repatriation of 20 Ethiopians, aged 11 to 17, from Tanzania.
The returnees were detained in prisons in Tanzania while trying to cross the country heading to South Africa. Many Ethiopians are in Tanzanian detention centers being victims of Human Traffickers.
The Embassy, in collaboration with the government of Tanzania and stakeholders, is working to repatriate the remaining Ethiopians detained in Tanzanian prisons.
