Addis Ababa, May 18, 2021 (Walta) – Ahmed Shide, Minister of Finance of Ethiopia, and Director-General of the Treasury Emmanuel Moulin discussed ways for Post-COVID Economic Recovery in France.
During the discussion, Minister Ahmed emphasized the importance of having timely and sustainable financing support for African economies to ensure the protection of socio-economic gains made in the past decade.
Director-General Moulin also briefed the Minister on the status of the Common Framework for Debt Treatment Beyond DSSI, which is designed to address fiscal constraints faced by many countries as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The two agreed to strengthen the collaboration between the two countries in several areas and the need for creative financing solutions to continue the development aspirations of African countries.
