Ethiopia, India Agree to Strengthen Investment Cooperation

Addis Ababa, December 27, 2022 (Walta) – Ministry of Planning and Development Dr. Fitsum Asefe discussed with Indian Ambassador to Ethiopia Shri Robert Shetkintong on the need to strengthen the relationship between Ethiopia and India in the field of education and investment.

During the discussion, the minister elaborated on the long-standing bilateral relations between the two countries after expressing.

She said that it should be strengthened through research and education, investment, trade culture and people-to-people relations.

Ambassador Shri Robert Shetkintong on his part said that, he will work to strengthen the relationship between Ethiopia and India through Education and Investment.

The ambassador invited the minister to participate in the climate change conference of Southern Nations that India will host in January 2023, according to Ethiopian Ministry of Planning and Development.

The conference, in which 140 countries of the global south will participate. “One Earth, One Family, One Hope” is the theme of the conference.
