Addis Ababa, May 09, 2022 (Walta) – Ethiopia is going to launch third round of Covid-19 vaccination next month according to the Ministry of Health.
The plan was made public at a review meeting conducted by the ministry along with regional health bureau heads.
The review meeting concluded that the first and the second round of COVID-19 vaccination campaigns were successful.
According to information obtained from the review meeting, more than 24 million people in Ethiopia have so far been able to receive COVID-19 vaccine. Out of the total people who are able to receive the vaccine, only 21 million they are fully vaccinated.
The ministry plans to almost double the number of people who will be vaccinated during the third round by availing 25 million doses of vaccines.
