Ethiopian Airline Orders 36 Aircrafts

Addis Ababa, October 19, 2022 (Walta) – The Ethiopian Airlines Group said it has ordered 36 further aircrafts, including two of Boeing 787 Dreamliner with a view to intensifying its leading position in Africa’s aviation industry.

The Group marked the 10th anniversary of the delivery of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft in August 2012.

During the celebration, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tassew said that Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft have helped expand services within Africa as well as connecting the continent to the rest of the world.

Currently, the airline cover more than 130 international destinations around the world.

Out of the total 140 airplanes Ethiopian Airlines is operating, 27 are Boeing787 Dreamliner.
