Ethiopian Airlines Launches Flight to Botswana’s Maun City

Addis Ababa, June 10, 2024 (Addis Walta) Africa’s aviation giant, Ethiopian Airlines launched a thrice weekly service -Monday, Wednesday and Saturday- to Maun, in Botswana as of June 10, 2024.

Maun, the tourism capital of Botswana, has become Ethiopian’s second destination in the country after Gaborone, which has been served since 2016.

At the flight inaugural ceremony Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mesfin Tasew, said, “The addition of Maun into our African connectivity enables travelers from Maun to enjoy facilitated connectivity to Ethiopian vast global network that exceeds 135 destinations.”

He noted that the commencement of the new flight to the city strengthen the tourism, trade and the overall socio-economic ties between Botswana and Ethiopian global destinations.

Ethiopian enjoys the largest network operating to more than 60 destinations in the continent. The Airlines managed to establish a convenient intra- Africa and global connections via its main hub in Addis Ababa.

Botswanan Ambassador to Ethiopia, Mr. Tebelelo Alfred Boang and the airlines’ management staffs attended the launching ceremony.
