Ethiopian Diaspora to Participate in Various National Programs – MoFA

Addis Ababa, December 30, 2021 (Walta) – Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Dina Mufti announced that the Diaspora will be participating in various national programs facilitated by the government.

The Ambassador Dina Mufti ha delivered the Ministry’s biweekly press briefing to the media today.

Amb. Dina said that large number of Ethiopians, people of Ethiopian origin and friends of Ethiopia are coming home responding to the call forwarded by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed for the GreatEthiopianHomeComing Challenge.

The Diasporas are called to continue supporting the rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts of the government to rebuild infrastructures destroyed by the terrorist TPLF Group.

The spokesperson said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recently reviewed its one hundred day plan performance.

The ministry has achieved remarkable achievements in highly motivating Pan-Africanism and involving the Diaspora the Diaspora community in the public diplomacy sphere particularly in fending off external pressure and media campaign against Ethiopia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia and Bahir Dar University had held a forum to deliberate the impact of misinformation on diplomacy and ways to mitigate it, according to MoFA.

Ambassador Dina also said the House of Peoples Representatives has approved the draft Proclamation for the establishment of the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission.
