Ethiopian Prime Minister Arrives in Ankara for Working Visit

Addis Ababa, August 18, 2021 (Walta) – Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and his delegation have arrived in Ankara, Turkey for a working visit.

The Prime Minister will meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan where they are expected to discuss bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.

Turkish president held phone conversations with Ethiopian prime minister two weeks ago, according to Turkey’s Communications Directorate. The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and regional issues by then.

Erdogan said Turkey attaches great importance to peace and stability of Ethiopia. He expressed Ankara’s readiness to provide ‘all kinds of support to Addis Ababa’.
