Addis Ababa, December 17, 2021 (Walta) – Inter-Governmental Authority for Development (IGAD) held its annual meeting in Mombassa, Kenya aimed at adopting the IGAD Budget for the year 2022, following an overview of the performance of the IGAD Budget of 2021.The three days meeting that was held from December 15-17, 2021 gathered experts of member state countries forming a committee of finance & planning to deliberate on the budget performance of 2021 as well as discuss the key challenges and opportunities.
On the final day, Ambassadors of member states including Ethiopian Ambassador to Djibouti, Berhanu Tsegaye, and the Executive Secretary, Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu have discussed major milestones achieved and challenges encountered to best understand how to effectively manage budgetary issues.
