Addis Ababa, December 21, 2022 (Walta) – FDRE President Sahle-Work Zewde pointed out Ethiopian kids and youth need to be introduced to the 21st century technologies now more than ever to compete with the fast paced digital world.
The President received founder and CEO of iCog-ACC, Betelhem Dessie.
Thet discussed on the multiple technology related education interventions focusing on increasing girls participation in STEM and the recently launched DigiTruck Ethiopia Project in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Ethiopia and Huwaei Technologies.
President Sahle-Work stressd the need of narrowing tech gap in the fast paced digital era.
Digitruck Ethiopia, an iCog-ACC project, is a moving off the grid coding and robotics classroom that aims to reach multiple cities across Ethiopia teaching thousands of children programming, robotics and other digital skills that enable them to improve their critical thinking and problem solving abilities, according to the Office of the President.
