Addis Ababa, March 12, 2022 (Walta) – Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has inked two agreements with two international companies called Netherlands Sewell & Associates Inc. to utilize petroleum and natural gas resources in Ethiopia.
According to the agreement, Netherlands Sewell & Associates Inc. will conduct surveys and feasibility studies in Ogaden, Somali Region based on explorations conducted so far at 3,500 Square Kilometers area in the region.
The Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Engineer Takelle, Chargé d’affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Tracey Ann Jacobson, and representatives of Netherlands Sewell & Associates Inc. attended the signing ceremony, according to FBC.
