Addis Ababa, February 24, 2021 (Walta) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has today discussed with federal and regional high-level officials on the upcoming national elections to be held in June 2021.
Regarding the meeting, the Prime Minister stated that the meeting has put in place defining line to not mix government and party work.
The clear role of government is to ensure that peaceful, free, and fair elections take place in this highly anticipated round, it is indicated.
It is with that spirit that regional governments have also made commitments to support competing political parties in effective participation, the Premier said.
