Addis Ababa, June 07, 2021 (Walta) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has launched the 3rd phase of the Green Legacy initiative in the Amhara Region, Debre Markos.
The region aims to plant 1.83 Billion tree seedlings during the rainy season, out of the total seedlings 247.8 million are to be planted on a single day, it was noted.
Deputy Prime Minister Demeke Mekonnen, First Lady Zinash Tayache, Presidents of Amhara, Oromia, and the Sidama Regional States, and other high-level government officials have attended the event.
