Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has congratulated Africans for the commencement of African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTA).
Prime Minister on his twitter account noted that the new frontier for Africa is indeed regional integration, where minds are open to ideas & markets are open to trade.
“Trade defuses the most fraught relations & integrated markets generate prosperity.”, he noted.
South African president Cyril Ramaphosa on his part also extended congratulations for the beginning of AfCTA and announced this free trade enables to eliminate strained relations between countries.
The president also noted that the Free Trade Area fundamentally improves the continent’s economy at large.
