Prosperity Party, Chinese Communist Party Agree to Boost Strategic Partnership

Addis Ababa, June 28, 2022 (Walta) – The ruling Prosperity Party (PP) and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have agreed to enhance their strategic partnership.

Prosperity Party Vice President Adam Farah and Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Central Committee Minister Liu Jianchao, who was recently appointed Minister of International Relations, held a discussion on Webinar.

The Vice President has briefed the International Relations Minister of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, Liu Jianchao on the current situation in Ethiopia, concerning the Green Legacy Initiative and related issues.

Adam Farah appreciates the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for its success in China.

He noted that the Prosperity Party is achieving success by implementing indigenous policies, adding that it has been learning from the CCP and will continue to do so.

He reaffirmed the prosperity Party’s commitment to working with the Party to strengthen the multi-cooperation framework in the international arena.

Liu, for his part, said China believes Ethiopia is a key pillar of peace and security in the East Africa region and reaffirm the commitment of his party to strengthen ties with the prosperity party.

Finally, the two parties agreed on strategic issues that will strengthen their relationship and announced that practical activities will be launched soon.
