February 18, 2021 (Walta) – A South Sudanese delegation led by the Director-General of Internal Security Affairs of South Sudan, General Akol Kur, visited Information Network Security Agency (INSA).
During his visit, he discussed information and cybersecurity issues with the leadership of INSA. Kur said Ethiopia’s role in South Sudan’s independence was significant.
He requested Ethiopia to play a key role in supporting the building of a strong cybersecurity institution in South Sudan.
Director-General of INSA, Dr. Shumete Gizaw, for his part, said the discussion was focused on capacity building, technology, and system development to strengthen South Sudan’s information and cybersecurity.
During the discussion, the need to closely work together to ensure information and cybersecurity was accentuated.
