The Ethiopian Coffee, Tea Development and Marketing Authority announced that Ethiopia secured 560mln USD revenue from export of nearly150 thousands of tons of coffee, spices and tea to different countries.
Authority’s marketing and Promotion director Dasa Daniso said that the authority planned to earn 649 mln USD by exporting 170 thousand tons.
The Authority secured 86.3 percent of the set revenue while exporting 85.5 of the set volume of export.
He said that execution has pushed up by 4.5 percent in revenue comparerd from same period last year.
The country earned 545 mln USD from the export over 139 thousand tons of coffee, which is according to him, 88 percent of export volume and 87.9 percent of the target revenue.
He said that authority is working to earn 941 mln dollars by exporting 241 thousand tons of coffee in this budget year. The coming three months of the budget years are known for bulk production of coffee, which raise the probability of success in generating the set amount.
