The Ministry of Women, Children and Youth Affairs said today women who are engaged in artifacts production has not got their earning proportional to the energy they spent in production.
The Ministry has arranged discussion forum that meant to solve the setbacks.
During the discussion forum, Minister Yalem Tsegay said that afterwards the government will provide the women with working sheds, loans and create market linkage for artifacts they produce.
“We will work to improve the sector,” she said.
According to her, giving emphasis to artifact the women produce will be also vital to create more jobs, increase tourist flows and generate foreign currency.
Ethiopia slips the lowest rank when it comes to the emphasis given to the sector.
