Members of the diplomatic community have showed their support to Ethiopia’s national campaign by planting seedlings and showing their continued support for the endeavor here in Addis Ababa.
The UK Embassy took part in the nation’s 200 million seedlings a day planting campaign. The UK has been supporting the planting of an estimated 95 million trees through its contribution to the Productive Safety Net Programe and will continue to support Ethiopia’s green legacy, the embassy said on its Facebook page.
The team of the German Embassy was also planting 11 endemic trees today: 5 Juniper, 3 Podocarpus and 3 Olive Africa.
About 100 more will follow within the next months, the embassy indicated on its Facebook page.
