The Ministry of Agriculture has said that the government will support the agriculture sector with research works.
This came in meeting organized to disclose the findings of the research conducted for six years.
The research covers Oromia, Amhara, and Tigray and South regions.
Agriculture Minister, Omar Hussien told Walta that in the research it is clearly founded which fertilizer type would be tailored to which type of seed, which type of soil tailored to which type of seed, and market and related issues.
The research will show gaps on the agriculture cluster that the country is practicing, the Minister said adding that the need to made the research as an integral part of agriculture.
Country director of SYNERGOS, Abera Tola who worked with the government of Ethiopia for over six years said that supports that stretch from the federal to regions were contributing to the success of the research work.
Bill and Milinda Gates Foundation granted 1 million USD for this research work.
