Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has discussed with State Counselor and Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Wong Yi, today.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister-Ethiopia, acknowledging the longstanding relationship between the two countries and China’s immense contribution to Ethiopia, Prime Minister Abiy highlighted that in addition to continued support in infrastructure development, the new frontier of a strengthened relationship needs to capitalize on introducing new forms of technology.
Wong Yi on his part appreciated the successful reform initiatives that have been undertaken over the past few months in Ethiopia.
He further emphasized that Ethiopia is on the right path and that China remains committed to supporting and to developing new dimensions to the relationship.
Ethiopia and China established diplomatic relations in 1970.
