The government of Ethiopia has finalized and tabled draft proclamation to control illicit flow of arms and weapons for discussion to the House of People’s Representatives.
The proclamation is aimed at strengthening peace and security in the country and ensure the rights of people for safe and stable life in all corners of the country.
The draft proclamation is targeted to use weapons and arms owned by individuals to be used more for ensuring public safety and security.
The new proclamation bans to hold weapons to in religious institutions, areas where large numbers of people are existing, when peaceful demonstrations are underway, and areas of election.
