Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has appointed Daniel Bekele (PhD) has the new commissioner for the human rights commission.
The house of People’s Representatives has ratified the appointment today.
Daniel is appointed after being selected from 88 nominees based on his educational background, and work experience.
He is to replace Dr. Addisu Gebre-egziabher, who has been serving as head of the commission for years.
