Chaired by General Adem Mohammed, the new Chief of Staff of the National Defense Force, senior military officers held an in-depth discussion on current security situation and internal affairs of the army.
After deploring the recent killings of officials of Amhara regional state and army generals, the military officers vowed to work to prevent the recurrence of such kinds of incident, said the Ministry of Defense in a statement.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to ensure the peace and security of the country by fighting against extremist and illegal forces, the statement noted.
The army is capable of discharging its Constitutional mission more than ever before, it added. (FBC)
