Oromia builds 180 new secondary, preparatory schools

About 180 secondary and preparatory schools built at a cost of 3 billion birr have gone operational in Oromia regional state, according to the state’s education bureau.

Alemayehu Assefa, head of the bureau, said the schools were built in north Shoa and other zones of the regional state.

In a related development, the construction of the Fiche College of Teachers’ Education has been completed. It was built at a cost of 100 million birr, he said.
