Agency for Refugees and Returness Affairs said today that the new proclamtion will benfeit refugees and host countries.
According to Agency’s Director, Kebede Chane, the agency, which previously was under Information Network and Security Agency is now instituted as independent body in that the new proclamation will take effect by.
He said that the new law proclamation enable the refugees to engage in income earning activity instead of confining to camps.
Currently, Ethiopia hosts nearly a million refugees in 27 camps in different corner of the country.
The majority of refugees came from neighboring countries fleeing political crisis, who are enjoy fair treatment from Ethiopian government as it do confirm to international principles of handling refugees
