Authority bans 57 food items from consumer market

The Ethiopian Food, Medicine, Health Care Administration Authority said in press statement that it has banned 57 food items from consumer market.

In a study it conducted, the Authority said that these commodities are found to have fundamental gap in their label, no clear production area, no ingredient list, and the company they produced by are not known.

Following the study, the Authority said that has decided the supervision body to make sure that they are not on the shelf so that the public will not use them.

The authority has issued a list of 57 food items that has been banned.
