Walta Launches New TV Channel Targeting International Audience

Addis Ababa, July 5, 2022 (Walta) – A new TV channel dubbed Afro News has been launched by Walta Media and Communication Corporate, the parent company of Walta TV and Walta FM 105.3.

The new TV station which started its trial broadcast today will air most of its content in English. The Station will have limited airtime in Arabic and Kiswahili languages as well.

“Africa needs to tell its own story to international audience without any distortion. That is why we launch this new TV Channel,” said Nigusie Meshesha (PhD), CEO of Walta Media and Communication Corporate.
