Addis Ababa, August 11, 2023 (Addis Walta) Ethiopian Water and Energy Minister, Habtamu Etefa (Ph.D.), underlined the need to work on communication capacity of Ethiopian water diplomacy.
Speaking at the opening of the 9th Water, Hydro-diplomacy, and Communication forum under the theme of “Strong Diplomacy and Communication for Sustainable Water Resource Development” he pointed out that a strategy should be devised to work with the relevant stakeholders by bringing together experts in the field of water diplomacy.
Stating the urgent need to build the capacity of hydro-diplomacy and communication, the minister indicated that water-related communication should be done in a scientific way and language, bring all experts in the field and follow the strategies of working together with the relevant parties.
Hence by supporting similar activities with research, it is vital to work with higher institutions.
