Addis Ababa, June 22, 2024 (Addis Walta) Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Ph.D.) Inaugurated today the Local Medical Product Manufacturing and Innovation Exhibition at Millennium Hall.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on his social media account noted that including policy reforms due attention is give for the sector.
He said “Considerable attention has been directed towards the sector, beginning with policy reforms aimed at the domestic production of medical supplies and medicines. For Ethiopia, with a population exceeding 120 million, producing its own medicines is an urgent priority.”
Over 110 local pharmaceutical manufacturers have taken part in the exhibition.
The exhibition, under the theme of “Our Health with Our Product” will be open for public for the next six days.
