Addis Ababa, July 14, 2024 (Addis Walta) Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed sent good wish to former US president, Donald Trump who was wounded following an assassination attempt.
The prime minister on his “X” page stated he is shocked by the news of the attack.
“I wish him a quick and full recovery; and wish the American people a peaceful and democratic election season,” PM Abiy wrote.
The Republican 2024 presidential candidate, Donald Trump, was on election rally in Pennsylvania while a gunman shot fire multiple rounds at him.
The 20 years old gunman was killed at the site by the security forces.
The gunman goes by the name Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, killed one person and wounded others.
Joe Biden in his statement said that he was “relieved that former President Trump wasn’t seriously hurt”.
Leaders, politicians, prominent figures, condemned the act.
