Addis Ababa, July 18, 2024 (Addis Walta) President Sahle-Work Zewde discussed with the Irish delegation, headed by Ireland’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Defence, Mr Micheál Martin.
The two sides discussed on various bilateral and regional matters of mutual importance.
Both parties affirmed the need to fully harness the potential for cooperation in the economic sphere, particularly in trade, aviation and tourism sectors.
Ethiopia’s pivotal role in contributing to regional security, considering its influence in the Horn of Africa, is deliberated.
The high-level delegation held several meetings with Ethiopian government officials during the visit.
