Sahlework arrives in S. Africa to attend WEF on Africa

Ethiopian President Sahle-Work Zewde has arrived in Cape Town, South Africa to attend the 28th World Economic Forum (WEF) on Africa.

Upon arrival, she is welcomed by Mr Alvin Botes, Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, staff of the Ethiopian Embassy and members of the Ethiopian community.

The WEF will be held from September 4-6 under the theme ‘Shaping Inclusive Growth and Shared Futures in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.’

The meeting will focus on how to scale up the transformation of regional architecture related to smart institutions, investment, integration, industry and innovation.

The event will gather more than 1, 000 regional and global leaders from politics, business, civil society, and academia to shape regional and industry agendas in the year ahead.
