Premier urges university to teach struggle against colony, research

Prime Minister Hailemariam  Dessalegn said that the Adwa University for Pan African Studies will teach history of the struggle against colonization in Africa and be a center for research.

Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn , Ugandian President, Yoweri Museveni ,and other former African presidents have laid the foundation stone yesterday.

Prime Minister Hailemariam,  speaking at the occasion said that Ethiopians have shown unity, endurance and strength to the other world.

It was noted that Ethiopians have flooded to Adwa with no discriminations in ethnicity, color, economy and social differences to defeat warrior Italy.

According to the Premier, foreigners have made many researches about Adwa Victory; though historians, Africans, have not done enough in this regard.

The premier underscored that the university is expected to play a momentous role to magnify pan Africanism at large.

The Ethiopian government is ready to support in every aspect to realize construction of the university.

President Yoweri  Museveni on his part said that the university will be a center for African history and Pan Africanism.
