Abiy Ahmed was sworn-in as Ethiopia’s new Prime Minister on April 2 following the resignation of his predecessor, Hailemariam Desalegne.

He apologized for the loss of life, promised to engage opponents and open up to democratic reform, tackle corruption and ensure the state, as well as citizens, is respectful of the law.

The Premier has also appealed to national unity and pledged to bump up the fight against corruption and nepotism in the country.

Now the prime Minister is discussing on how to translate these pledges into practice with his Ministers and higher officials to assure the people in his administration. (ENA)
