State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Markos Tekle, received Cherdkist Attehakor, Ambassador of Thailand to Ethiopia at his offices today.
On the occasion, Dr. Markos praised the historical relationship between the two countries and the exemplary economic transformations that Thailand exhibited over the years.
He added that Ethiopia is keen to draw lessons from Thailand`s developmental model and experiences in many sectors, especially, in the area of tourism, hospitality, medicine and agriculture.
Dr. Markos further expressed his appreciation to the Thai leadership for its interest to strengthen relations with Ethiopia, adding that the relation between the two countries is ushering in a new era of cooperation.
Ambassador Cherdkist Attehakor expressed his government’s readiness to invest in Ethiopia.
Ethiopia and Thailand have enjoyed cordial diplomatic relationship since 1964.
