ESAT’s journalists arrive in Addis Ababa after years of exile

Journalists of the Ethiopian Satellite and Radio Television (ESAT), a dissent media based in the USA arrived in Addis Ababa from exile with some of them spent 20 years.

Journalist Abebe Gelaw and Sisay Agana were included in the delegation.

Up their arrival at Bole international Airport in Addis Ababa today they were welcomed by Minister of Culture and Tourism, Hirut Kasaw and other government officials. Family members, fans and supporters of the journalist were also present to welcome them.

Dr. Hirut thanked the journalist for their contribution for the political reforms that country is in and also urged them to work towards the unity of Ethiopian so that it could be conducive for citizens.

The journalists on their part expressed happiness over their coming into home, and pledged that they will continue their role with sensing the media responsibilities.

ESAT, which has been jammed for 30 times since its establishment, is now open office in Addis Ababa, from where it believes easy reporting issues that matters the people.

ESAT prepared a program at millennium hall on coming Saturday, in which many expected to participate.
