Senior government officials today visited residents of Legetafo, whose house got demolished early this week after the local administration issued a seven day warning saying that the settlement is illegal.
Press secretary of PM office Nigusu Tilahun and Adisu Arega of Oromo Democratic Party and other officials of the Oromia region paid the visit.
The residents complained that the warning days were not enough, and the measure was selective.
However, the City Administration said that the demolition will continue so that it master plan will be kept.
The demolition of “illegal settlement” will continue across the Oromia region.
But the right of citizens should not be violated in the process they said.
