Danish Crown Princess visits health service centers

The Crown Princess of Denmark has visited the Michu fertility clinic and St. Paul’s Hospital today and lauded the services provided to abate maternal mortality and extend family planning.

Ethiopia is showing leaps and bounds in terms of development in the health sector, she said.

They expressed the importance of girls and women participation in the health as well as political affairs of the country.

According to a press release of the Embassy of Denmark in Addis Ababa, she is strongly interested to support the rights of women that are key to ensure to decide on their own destiny.

Michu Clinic Founder, Dr. Senait Fesseha said Denmark is a good development partner of Ethiopia in enhancing health sectors of the country.

Even if good improvements are observed in the hospitals, the service needs to be enhanced as it is expected to outreach the service to the wider population of disadvantaged groups, she added.

Denmark is supporting 20 million Danish crone to internally displaced people in Somali Regional State for getting better access to reproductive health services, it was learned.

Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth arrived late yesterday for an official visit in Ethiopia, according to ENA.
