More than 2000 suspects of inciting violence identified-government

The Ethiopian government has said that it has identified more than 2000 people whom it had suspected for inciting violence in different corners of the country during the last couple of years.

According to the press statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office, about 1300 of the suspects are already submitted to the law.

Head of Press Secretary of the Office, Nigussu Tilahun, while briefing journalists noted that the suspects have played a role not only of inciting violence, but also some of them have participated in the conflicts that claimed lives of many and caused property damage.

He also indicated that more than 875 thousand people displaced due to the conflicts are returned to their abodes so far.
